Ben Franklin Transit is gearing up for the freezing rain headed our way. But it warns you will have to be patient in the next few days and expect delays. Service might be briefly suspended, but Ben Franklin Transit will make sure everyone gets home safe - even if it has to use vans.
"If you live in outlying areas like Prosser or Benton City, please avoid coming to the Tri-Cities on days like this because we don't know how the conditions are to get you home," said Christy Watts, with Ben Franklin Transit.
Supervisors go out at 3 a.m. to check roads and determine detours, so if you need to check your route the information will be available early in the morning.
