Yakima-Businessman Gabriel Munoz announced yesterday he is running for the State Senate in the 15th Legislative District.
“I got my inspiration for running from my 8 month old daughter. I simply want to make her world a better place. We have more to do to give kids every opportunity to succeed,” said Gabriel Munoz.
Gabriel lives in Yakima WA, where he and his wife Anahi are raising their daughter Allyson. As an instructor, Gabriel works hard to teach and motivate people to develop positive life skills that will help them become self-sufﬁcient. Gabriel is currently a Business Outreach Coordinator for People for People where he works with adults in both a teaching and training. He facilitates seminars, workshops and classes that enhance the development of positive life and job skills. He also works with local business to promote and link local talent that will help meet their workforce needs. Gabriel’s previous experience includes: Sergeant in the U.S Army, Instructor/ tutor for the high school equivalence Program through Central Washington University, Student Body President at Central Washington University, Branch Manager for U.S Bank and the Business Outreach Coordinator for People for People.
“I am focused on the basics. I know it’s your money and legislators need to show they can use it wisely. I believe kids like mine will be well served if we focus on the common sense fundamentals of state government and do them well. I hope you believe that together we can make a difference for the next generation," he adds.
