Four arrested in drive by shooting

TOPPENISH, Wash. - Police responded to reports of shots fired at the Western Gas Station on S. Elm St. in Toppenish after receiving a number of calls alerting them to the area. 

An officer close to the scene heard the shots and arrived to find a white Honda with damage to the windshield and frame and  fleeing the scene. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, which fled and led to a pursuit. 

The Honda failed to negotiate a turn adn officers were able to arrest the driver and passenger. 

Officers were able to review surveillance video from the gas station and determined during their investigation that two people in a red Dodge truck exchanged words with the people in the Honda and gunfire came from both vehicles. 

The driver and passenger of the truck were also arrested. 

Charges range from assault to unlawful possession of a firearm. 

No injuries were reported.
