Union Gap armed robbery suspect arrested

Police arrested a suspect who allegedly robbed a Union Gap truck stop early Sunday morning.

A man with a gun walked in to the Gear Jammer Truck Stop on Rudkin Road at about 3:25 a.m., according to a police report.

Witnesses described him as a white male, roughly 5’7 and in his 40s. He fled the scene in a white mid-90s Honda coupe.

The suspect and his vehicle were found at about 9:40 a.m. on Tuesday morning. The vehicle was impounded and will be searched once police obtain a warrant, police said.

His identity was not released because the investigation is ongoing.

The Union Gap Police Department said it wants to thank the public for tips leading to the identity and arrest of the suspect.
