Recent flooding in the Yakima Valley is not only affected property owners.

It’s also impacting the first annual Plowing Bee and Horse Spectacular.

But thanks to Terrace Heights Memorial Park, the event will go on at a new location.

The event features demonstrations of horse teams pulling plows to showcase local agriculture and now because it was moved from union gap to terrace heights, the event will be free!

Donations are appreciated to help bring the event back in the future.

“We’re going to be showing how plowing was done in the old days before tractors and trucks, real horse power, ” said event coordinator Alan Geho.

The new location at 2600 Business Road does not have bleachers, so you should bring your own chairs.

The event is tomorrow and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
