2 killed in house fire outside Toppenish

TOPPENISH, Wash. — Two people are dead after a house fire on Wednesday night near Toppenish.

Fire officials were called to the fire before 9 p.m. on the 9000 block of Larue Road near Lateral A Road, about 10 miles southwest of Toppenish.

Details are limited as the scene is still active. However, a Yakima County Fire District #5 official confirmed two people were killed.

More information is expected to be released at a later time. The investigation has been turned over to the Yakama Nation Police Department.
