22-year-old arrested in Moxee for drive-by shooting
Moxee Police have arrested a 22-year-old man suspected of firing a gun outside a residence and hitting a car on Tuesday night.
According to the department, around 11 p.m. officers were called to reports of shots fired in the 100 block of Tacoma Street.
Four people were inside the home, including two small children, but no one was injured.
There was however ‘significant’ damage done to the car.
In a press release, officers say a suspect was determined based on a ‘personal motive.’
That person has since been booked into the Yakima County Jail for drive-by shooting and malicious mischief.
Officers say this was an isolated incident and there is no further threat to the public.
