3 inmates charged with murdering gang member at Yakima County Jail
YAKIMA, Wash. — Three men are accused of beating a fellow inmate to death at the Yakima County Jail.
Julian Luis Gonzalez, Deryk Alexander Donato and Felile Luis Jr. have been charged with murder for a “brutal attack” that resulted in the death of Jacob Ozuna, according to the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office.
An autopsy showed Ozuna died from severe blunt force trauma to the head.
Ozuna, 36, was awaiting trial for murder after he allegedly shot and killed another man outside Wapato. He was arrested in Hardin, Montana in May 2018.
Gonzalez, 20, of Toppenish, Donato, 25, of White Swan and Luis Jr., 19, of Yakima were each charged with first-degree murder and aggravated first-degree murder.
The sheriff’s office is investigating.
