A man crushed his leg in the chains of a harvest machine
TOUCHET, Wash. — A man’s foot was caught between chains in a harvest machine while picking up gourds in a field.
The machine crushed his leg up into his calf but he did not experience any life threatening injuries.
The Touchet Fire Station 61 and the Walla Walla Fire Station 6 helped the man before he was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital.
“This doesn’t happen often.” Fire Station 6 Chief, Otis Garbe said.
The accident happened at 1800 Touchet-Gardena Rd. around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 10th.
