A Texas police department wants to test your meth for coronavirus

JOHNSON CITY, Texas — A Texas police department has come up with a creative way to catch criminals: by offering to test their methamphetamine for coronavirus.

“We have reason to believe methamphetamine in Blanco County may be contaminated with the CoronaVirus,” Johnson City Police said in a Facebook post.

The silly post goes on to say that people can have their meth tested at the Johnson City Police Department, Blanco County Sheriff’s Office or Blanco Police Department.

“If you prefer to keep your meth in the privacy of your own home you may contact Blanco County Dispatch at 830 868 7104 and have an officer come to your house to test your meth for contamination,” police said.
