Alleged DUI driver apprehended after crashing into barrier
KENNEWICK, Wash. — Benton County deputies and Pasco Police officers worked to apprehend a driver in an alleged DUI collision early Monday morning, Sept. 5.
According to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, the collision happened in the Kennewick area. They say the driver of an SUV was driving recklessly.
The driver allegedly sped toward Pasco, where the vehicle struck the I-182 Jersey barrier at the interchange from SR 395.
BCSO says the driver then left the vehicle and ran toward CBC after crossing the highway.
The suspect, who had outstanding warrants, was quickly arrested.
Officials say the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
