Shelter In Place Order is Cancelled for the Area of Road F-SW south of SR26 (Royal City)
Officials have verified there is no further risk to the public and the Shelter In Place order is cancelled for all residents and businesses with one mile of Royal Ridge Fruit, 13215 Road F-Southwest, Royal City. Citizens may return to normal activities. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation.

Shelter In Place Order for Area of Road F-SW south of SR26 (Royal City)
Please read this entire message before reacting. The incident is under control. This message is a precaution in the interest of public safety. There is currently minimal risk to the public. Please remain calm.
Shelter In Place has been ordered for businesses and residents within one mile of Royal Ridge Fruit, 13215 Road F-Southwest, Royal City. A release of anhydrous ammonia happened this morning at the location. The ammonia has dissipated from the area; however, the Shelter In Place order is in effect in the event of another release.
Shelter In Place means:
— Bring your family and pets inside.
— Lock doors, close windows, air vents and fireplace dampers.
— Turn off fans, air conditioning and forced air heating systems.
— Take your emergency supply kit with you.
— Go into an interior room with few windows, if possible.
— If you can, seal all windows, doors and air vents with plastic sheeting and duct tape. Consider measuring and cutting the sheeting in advance to save time.
— Watch TV news, listen to the radio or check the Internet often for official news and instructions as they become available.
— Follow the Grant County Sheriff’s Office on Facebook www.facebook.com/GrantCoSheriff for updates. Keep in mind there may be periods of time where there are no updates, but rest assured we will post all updates when they happen.
People in the city limits of Royal City are not at risk.
Grant County Fire District 10 has requested the Washington State Patrol’s Hazardous Materials Team to assist.
