From the Kennewick Police Department-

Summary of Incident : Kennewick, Wa.

At 2:20 pm, officers responded tpo a robbery that had just occurred at 617 N. Volland Street. The residence is vacant and is owned by Bank of America. The bank sent an employee, identified as Ryan Hibbs of MS Property Maintenance, to the residence to perform a home inspection. Hibbs arrived at the house this afternoon and entered. Once inside, he discovered the rear sliding door open. Hibbs went downstairs, where he was accosted by two Hispanic males (both in their early 20’s) that were apparently hiding out inside the residence. One of the suspects pulled out a small pocket knife and pointed it at Hibbs. The suspect demanded that Hibbs hand over his money. Hibbs emptied his wallet, which contained $200 in cash. The suspect punched Hibbs in the stomach, causing him to fall to the floor. Both suspects fled out the rear slider, possibly heading westbound on foot. Officers arrived and contained the area. BCSO K-9 Deputy Hanson assisted with a track, which was unsuccessful. No suspects have been identified at this time. The two suspects were both wearing hooded sweatshirts with the hoods drawn, so Hibbs did not get a good look at either.
