Arrests Made in Mini Mart Robberies

From the Yakima PD:

On 12/18/14 detectives from the Yakima Police Department, Violent Crimes Task Force, Sunnyside and Toppenish Police Departments arrested 3 individuals in connection to a series of armed robberies that began in the City of Yakima on 10/31/14.

The robbery series began on 10/31/14 when the Hokus Pokus store, 2401 W. Nob Hill, was robbed at gunpoint by several subjects at about 1130 PM. A short time later, 11/1/14 at about 232 AM, the Valley View Market in Sunnyside was robbed at gunpoint by multiple suspects.

On 11/11/14 at about 1006 PM hours, the Toppenish General Store was robbed at gunpoint by multiple suspects. A little over 2 hours later, 1140 PM, the 7-11 at 1512 Summitview in Yakima was robbed at gunpoint by multiple suspects.

The suspect descriptions in all the robberies were similar, as were their actions once they were inside the stores.

One suspect, a 19-year-old Sunnyside man, was arrested on 12/17/14 for his alleged involvement in two car-jackings in Yakima. His arrest led to the identification and arrest of 3 more suspects on 12/18/14 in the Sunnyside area. One of the arrested males on 12/18/14 was 15 years old. The other 2 are both 18 years old.

The adult suspects were booked into the Yakima County jail for investigation of 1 st degree Robbery and Criminal Conspiracy. The juvenile suspect was booked at the Yakima County Juvenile Detention Center for investigation of 1 st degree Robbery and Criminal Conspiracy.
