Authorities name dairy worker found dead in Milton-Freewater

MILTON-FREEWATER, Ore. — A man who was shot and killed at Umapine Creamery has been identified as 35-year-old Renee Luiz-Antonio, according to the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office.

Luiz-Antonio, an employee at the dairy, was believed to have been operating the tractor near Umapine Road when he was killed. His body was found early Monday morning, said Sheriff Terry Rowan.

“This appears to be the result of a lengthy dispute between Mr. Luiz and another employee who was working at the dairy”, said Sheriff Rowan. “We are not at liberty to identify the other employee at this time.”

Authorities have gathered some leads that they will be following up with as part of the investigation.

The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crime with help from Walla Walla Police, Milton-Freewater Police, Hermiston Police, College Place Police, the Walla Walla County Sheriff’s Office and an Oregon State Police forensics crew.
