Autopsy shows Yakima homicide victim died from head injuries
YAKIMA, Wash. — Authorities say an autopsy Tuesday afternoon found that a 58-year-old Yakima woman died from blunt force trauma to the head.
Linda Berukoff, 58, was found dead Thursday alongside the railroad tracks near North Front and East H streets in Yakima.
Police say a man walking along the train tracks noticed what he first thought was a pile of clothes next to a stack of fruit bins about 25 feet away from the railroad tracks.
When he went back to check the area, police say that’s when he said he saw Berukoff’s body, partially naked and brutally beaten.
No arrests have been made. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Yakima Police Department.
