Avelo Airlines celebrates first full year of service from Pasco to Hollywood

PASCO, Wash. — One full year and more than 38,000 customers later, Avelo Airlines is celebrating the anniversary of its first flight from Tri-Cities Airport (PSC) to Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR).

The first direct flight from the Tri-Cities to Hollywood took flight on April 29, 2021. Since then, nearly 300 flights have been hosted by one of the newest and most affordable airlines in the United States.

One thing the Avelo team is proud of is its consistency. According to officials from the airline, not a single flight between Pasco and Hollywood was canceled by the airline during the first year of operating this flight path.

“I’m very pleased with the response to Avelo in Pasco during our first year of service,” Avelo Chairman and CEO Andrew Levy said. “Avelo’s exceptional reliability and affordability have made our airline an appealing choice for folks from across the Tri-Cities area.”

Furthermore, an estimated 90% of flights from Tri-Cities Airport to Bob Hope Airport arrived on time. These metrics exclude any cancelations or delays caused by weather or circumstances beyond the airline’s control, according to its staff.

To celebrate the first year of operation, Avelo is holding a sweepstake offering one year of free flights. All you have to do is enter your information on their website (https://www.aveloair.com/OneYearSweepstakes) and agree to the airline’s terms. Additional entries can be submitted via social media.

“We look forward to continuing to invest in this community as we continue to grow our airline for years to come,” Levy said.
