Basin City burglars caught in the act, booked into Franklin County Jail

PASCO, Wash. — Two suspected burglars are lodged in the Franklin County Jail after a Basin City homeowner realized there were two people inside the house and called for help.

According to a public notice from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the Basin City residence on Baart Road to find two male suspects inside. They have since been identified as Miguel Garcia-Madrueno of Basin City and Carlos Corona-Garcia of Pasco.

Authorities in charge of this investigation say that the two men were in possession of stolen property at the time of their arrest. Furthermore, one of the suspects had a loaded pistol on his person at the time of the burglary.

Franklin County investigators are working to determine whether or not this was an isolated incident. This is one of several burglaries and thefts they have experienced in the area as of late. They are working with victims of other crimes and gathering evidence to determine whether the men in custody were responsible.
