Beauchamp, the 24th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, returns to his hometown after several weeks in Las Vegas for the NBA’s Summer League. He was drafted following a season with the G League Ignite—a basketball program that prepares prospects for the next step by playing against professional competition in the NBA’s developmental league.

Prior to his G League stint, Beauchamp spent a year at Yakima Valley Community College for the 2020-21 season. He dominated the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC), averaging 30.7 points on a highly-efficient 52.5% from the field and 39.8% from 3-point range.

Born and raised in Yakima, Beauchamp bounced around Washington state throughout his teenage years in pursuit of a successful basketball career. He spent time at several renowned basketball schools across the Seattle area but didn’t return any D1 college offers. That’s when he decided to return home to Yakima and reconnect with his love of the game.

It certainly paid off just two years down the line. Tonight, Beauchamp returns home with a guaranteed role in the world’s most prominent basketball league.
