Benton City man arrested on suspicion of child sex abuse
BENTON COUNTY, Wash. — A Benton City man suspected of sexually abusing a young relative was taken into custody on Tuesday.
Serafin Barrera Mendoza, 45, was booked at the Benton County Jail around 8:45 a.m. on charges of first-degree child molestation and second-degree child rape.
The Benton County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page shared his wanted poster on Friday Jan. 18.
Deputies arrested Mendoza after receiving information from the public about his location. They have not released any specific details about their investigation.
