Benton City shooting that injured one man lands suspect behind bars with another at large
BENTON CITY, Wash. — One victim survived a gunshot wound suffered early on Saturday morning, and though one suspect has already been arrested, Benton County authorities are asking for the community’s help to find another suspect.
According to a social media alert issued by the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to reports of a male victim who was shot around 1:30 a.m. on May 14, 2022. They arrived at the intersection of Babs Ave at 7th St and located the victim, who was promptly transported to an area hospital.
No further details on the victim’s condition have been released by Benton County authorities. However, they learned that two suspects fled the scene of the shooting on foot and successfully avoided arrest that night.

Since the altercation, Benton County deputies were able to locate and apprehend one of the suspects involved. They have opted not to release the name of this suspect at this stage of the investigation.
Instead, they are asking for the community’s help to further the investigation by submitting any home surveillance footage from the Benton City area that could be useful in their search. Furthermore, they are asking anyone who was contacted for a ride out of the area to reach out.
