Benton County detectives are looking for a convicted child molester
BENTON COUNTY, Wash. — Detectives from the Benton County Sheriff’s Office are attempting to make contact with a known sex offender who recently failed to register with the Sheriff’s Office.
According to local authorities, Ronnie Wait is a Level One sex offender with an outstanding felony arrest warrant for his arrest. The felony arrest warrant was issued on May 13, 2021, according to local authorities.
According to data logged in the United States Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Database, Wait was convicted of child molestation in the first degree on August 16, 1995. No further information regarding his offenses was listed on the Benton County registry.
However, some defining characteristics were listed. Wait was listed on the database as 5’09” and weighed 310 lbs. He is a 39-year-old white male with blonde hair and blue eyes. His listed residence is in Benton City. Authorities did not list any noteworthy scars or tattoos that he would be identifiable by.
