Benton County detectives search for two known sex offenders

BENTON COUNTY, Wash. — Detectives working for the Benton County Sheriff’s Office are searching for two men in the region who failed to register as sex offenders. They are outstanding warrants for each of these men with detectives assigned to locate them.

The Benton County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division is hoping to locate an 18-year-old male named Brandon Cortes-Hernandez. According to the county registry, he is 5-foot-2 and weighs approximately 110 lbs. He is a Hispanic male with brown eyes and black hair.

Cortes-Hernandez is regarded as a transient who was convicted of child molestation in the first degree in October 2018. A Facebook post by the sheriff’s office says that the suspect was a warrant out for failure to register as a sex offender as well as an additional misdemeanor warrant for his arrest.

The second suspect that local authorities are looking for is 29-year-old Thomas Wilson Blake. He is a level-two sex offender who failed to register with the sheriff’s office. A warrant has been requested by local authorities for failure to register as a sex offender.

Very little additional information is available about Blake. He is distinguishable by a tattoo above his left eyebrow and tattoos along his neck.
