KENNEWICK, Wash. — Are you a performer from the Tri-Cities region looking for an opportunity to showcase your talent? If so then you’re in luck! The Benton-Franklin Fair is seeking local performers to be showcased on the Legends Casino Community Stage this summer.

The community stage has been host to performances from regional dance academies, choirs, performance artists, and soloists. To submit your application, visit the Benton-Franklin Fair website by clicking here.

You don’t have to be a local performer to get excited about the fair either. Running from August 24 to 28, the fair will make up for lost time with a place reserved for those who purchased a ticket for the 2020 fair before it was cancelled because of COVID-19.

Starting at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, June 14, you’ll be able to buy admission tickets as well as tickets to the Demolition Derby, Rodeo and concerts. This year, you can expect performances from the Plain White T’s, Trace Adkins, Nelly, Foghat and Seether.

Officials from the fair said that an announcement regarding special deals for carnival wristbands is looming. Keep an eye out for an update from YakTriNews or the Benton-Franklin Fair’s website/social media.

This year, all seats to the nation’s No. 23 ranked PRCA rodeo event, the Horse Heaven Round-Up, will be reserved. To attend, you’ll need both a rodeo ticket and fair admission.

Per state officials, large outdoor events will operate with no restrictions beginning in July. However, that is subject to change at the discretion of health officials. If any serious changes are made to state guidance or pandemic-related rules, an update will be issued by fair officials and subsequently by KAPP-KVEW/
