Benton-Franklin Health District urges parents to vaccinate children now
The Benton-Franklin Health District is urging parents to vaccinate their children now to beat the back-to-school rush.
“The week before school starts is an especially busy time for vaccines and clients often end up waiting much longer than they anticipate,” said Heather Hill, RN, Supervisor of Clinic Services. “No one enjoys getting a shot, but having to sit and wait for an extended period of time makes it even less enjoyable.”
Parents can vaccinate their children at the Health District by appointment. They do offer walk-ins, but they are on a first come, first served basis. Family physicians can also perform the vaccinations. To schedule an appointment with the Health District, call 509-460-4200.
