Ellie Nakamoto-White joins the KAPP/KVEW news team after completing her bachelor’s degree at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication in August 2020.

Throughout her college career, she held internships with KPNX 12 News, KGMB Hawaii News Now, and the Arizona Republic, to name a few. She was also an evening anchor and borderlands reporter for the university’s television program that aired nightly on Arizona PBS.
Raised in Portland, Oregon, Ellie is excited to start her professional career back in the PNW as a multimedia journalist and share the stories of the Tri-Cities.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her two-year-old schnoodle named Joey. She is also a huge foodie, and is always looking for great places to eat!
