Calls doubled as troopers respond to bad ferry behavior
SEATTLE (AP) Calls to the Washington State Patrol doubled in 2016 as troopers responded to rowdy passengers and aggressive drivers aboard state ferries.
KOMO-TV reports (https://goo.gl/7Al1kh ) that the number of calls to the patrol for unruly behavior and other problems has doubled from 1,000 calls in 2015 to 2,000 calls in 2016.
Washington State Ferries spokesman Ian Sterling says sometimes the calls are for fights, aggressive driving or other inappropriate behavior.
Sterling says passengers can be barred from riding a state ferry for up to a year.
