Cameron Diaz teams up with Richland winery for new release

RICHLAND, Wash. — Cameron Diaz’s wine label, Avaline, utilized Richland winery, Tagaris, for it’s newest white wine: a Chardonnay.

While their tasting room and restaurant, Taverna, is located in Richland, Tagaris grows their certified organic grapes in the Columbia Valley AVA and Wahluke Slope AVA. The vineyard said they pride themselves on being organic and sustainable, which aligns with wine brand Avaline.

Avaline was founded by actress Cameron Diaz and author Katherine Power, who call the wines a apart of Avaline, clean, delicious and transparent. You can find all the ingredients listed in each wine and where the grapes are grown by simply searching their website. Their wines are made without added colors, concentrates or unnecessary sugars.

“Even those who don’t typically drink Chardonnay will enjoy this light and crisp take on the popular style,” Power said.

“This Chardonnay feels so classic and so modern at the same time. I love how it compliments any meal,” Diaz added.

According to Avaline’s website, the Chardonnay has a smooth and full taste, with notes of crisp apple, ripe peach and a touch of roasted hazelnuts. It was made with chardonnay and chenin blanc grapes. The women say it pairs well with long afternoons and nothing on your to-do list.

The Chardonnay can be purchased online for $28, although several other of Avaline’s wines can be purchased locally at Fred Meyer or Rite Aid. You can also subscribe to Avaline wines and add the Chardonnay to your subscription.

Tagaris / Taverna is located 844 Tulip Lane Richland, WA.
