Car wash collects “Toys for Tots”

Splash Express Car Wash hosts its 8th annual toy drive for “Toys for Tots” on Saturday, Dec. 8, in Union Gap from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

U.S. Marine Corps personnel were receiving the new and unwrapped toys as well as accepting money donations.

Toys for Tots coordinator, Staff Sergeant Shawn Robinson, said all of the toys raised during “Toys for Tots” will be staying in the valley.

“We hope to raise at least 150 toys,” said Robinson. “All the toys we get today will be distributed in the Yakima County, lower valley and upper valley everywhere.”

People can donate toys in the “Toy for Tots” boxes that are located at the police station, libraries and different stores throughout the valley.
