Richland makes first approval of car tab fees

The City of Richland approved a $20 car tab fee during Tuesday night's city council meeting. The car tab will help raise $850,000 to pay for annual street maintenance and resurfacing, and build a Duportail Bridge.

Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers grew up in Kettle Falls, Washington where her family owned an orchard. Growing up, Rodgers said she never imagined she would be a congresswoman, but she now represents the 5th District of Washington state. She is visiting Eastern Washington this week and sat down with KAPP-KVEW in her Walla Walla office to talk about some of the top issues facing the country and the world today, including immigration, healthcare reform, and the current state of world affairs.
