Charges dropped against Grandview students accused of plotting school shooting
GRANDVIEW, Wash. — S tudents in Grandview are no longer facing charges for allegedly plotting a school shooting.
Three students were facing felony charges. Those charges have been dropped.
A fourth student, a 15-year-old boy, pleaded guilty to charges of minor in possession of a firearm in early March.
Yakima County prosecutor said they dismissed the charges against a 15-year-old girl and two boys, 14 and 15 years-old, because there wasn’t enough evidence. Charges can be refiled if new evidence is found.
The students were arrested in February after a witness reportedly overheard them making violent comments. Prosecutors said the witness is not fully cooperating in the investigation.
