Children made prank phone call about gun on bus, Kennewick police say
KENNEWICK, Wash. — Kennewick police said two children, ages 9 and 10, made a series of prank phone calls to 911 on Friday morning.
During one of the calls, the children indicated that there may be “a gun on the bus,” police said. An investigation was conducted in partnership with the Kennewick School District.
Police determined that there was no credible threat and the call was meant to be a prank.
The school district contacted the children’s parents and appropriate disciplinary action was taken, police said.
