A Chinese couple married for more than 80 years have been named the record holders for oldest living married couple.

Masao Matsumoto, 108, and Miyako Sonoda, 100, married in 1937 and have a combined age of 208 years and 259 days, according to Guinness World Records.

The couple have five daughters, 13 grandchildren, and are expecting their 25th great-grandchild in August.

Prior to Masao and Miyako, the record holders for oldest living married couple were Norwegians Karl Dolven and Gurdren Dolven, who had a combined age of 210 years, 1 month and 34 days when Gurdren died.
