City of Kennewick calling for artists to design roundabout art
KENNEWICK, Wash. — The Kennewick Arts Commission are searching for artists to design art for a city roundabout.
The design will be placed at the roundabout near Fourth Avenue and Kellogg Street as well as a second undetermined location. City officials said they want to “provide artistic, interesting, colorful designs within the inner circle’s 60’ diameter and eliminate the need for grass or plantings requiring irrigation or maintenance.”
They said having the designs will decrease water usage and lower maintenance needs in high traffic areas.
The city is asking for professional artists or teams living in the Pacific Northwest to apply. Designs have to be original and in compliance with copyright laws.
Submissions will be accepted through April 3, 2020 at 4:30 p.m.
