College Place police officer uses CPR to save woman’s life

College Place to receive its own ambulance service

COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. — A College Place police officer saved a woman’s life on Sunday after she was found lying unconscious on the sidewalk near Southeast Larch Avenue and Scenic View Drive.

Police got a call at 5:14 a.m. Sunday from someone who said they saw the woman lying unconscious.

An officer arrived within three minutes of getting the call and found the woman unresponsive, not breathing with no detectable pulse.

He began to administer CPR and continued to do so until College Place Fire medics arrived. The woman was rushed to a local hospital for further treatment.
