Confirmed case of the mumps in Benton County
The state wide outbreak of mumps has officially touched the Tri-Cities. Doctors have confirmed a case of mumps in a preschool-aged child in Benton County.
According to the Tri-City Herald the child did receive the MMR vaccine, however the infection can still happen in those who are vaccinated.
Since October more than 620 confirmed cases have been reported across the state of Washington.
