Coroner identifies man found dead in submerged car in Yakima River

ROZA, Wash. — A body has been recovered from a car that submerged in the Yakima River off Canyon Road in the Roza Dam reservoir, according to the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office.
The coroner has identified the victim has 51-year-old Joseph Langdon. He died by drowning.
Deputies arrived at the scene around 7 a.m. Tuesday morning and found a vehicle in the water about 300 feet downstream from the Roza Recreation Area boat launch.
Sheriff’s Office Dive Team members found a man dead inside the vehicle.
Deputies with the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.
