Coroner: Kennewick woman dead for 3-4 days before being found
KENNEWICK, Wash. — The Benton County Coroner’s Office said they have not been able to determine a 25-year-old woman’s cause of death and will have to wait for toxicology reports.
Tessa West was found dead on Saturday morning in Kennewick by a roommate near Sixth Place and Conway Street. According to Benton County Coroner Bill Leach, there is no sign of physical injuries and no indications of trauma.
The Kennewick Police Department told KAPP-KVEW that they’re working on searching West’s car, which was found abandoned about a mile away from where she was found. Police believe she was dead for several days. Leach said their office determined that West was dead for about three to four days before she was found.
According to Sgt. Dan Todd, some circumstances surrounding the incident are “suspicious.”
The investigation is ongoing.
