Court docs: Kennewick man raped boy with mental disability during ‘sleepovers’
KENNEWICK, Wash. — A Kennewick man was arrested for allegedly raping a developmentally disabled teenage boy and taking graphic photos of him.
On Tuesday, the Benton County Sheriff’s Office arrested Concepcion Israel Suarez, 56, on charges of second-degree child rape and possession of child pornography.
They began investigating Suarez after Child Protective Services informed them of possible sexual abuse being committed toward the 14-year-old victim.
The boy told authorities Suarez forced him to perform sex acts on multiple occasions during “sleepovers.” On one occasion, he said Suarez had him undress and took photos of him, according to court documents.
Deputies said the abuse took place between Oct. 1, 2016 and Aug. 23, 2018. Suarez worked as the boy’s caregiver for most of that time.
Suarez has been booked at the Benton County Jail on a 72-hour investigative hold.
