Crews locate a third body on Silver Mountain after avalanche

KELLOGG, Idaho — Authorities said they have found a third body buried in snow from Tuesday’s avalanche on Silver Mountain.

A post from Silver Mountain indicated it is the body of a skier reported missing shortly after the avalanche. According to officials at Silver Mountain, there are no more missing people reported and rescue teams are returning to the base.

The bodies of two other skiers were found on Tuesday. They were identified as 58-year-old Carl William Dick Humphreys of Liberty Lake and 46-year-old Scott Michael Parsons of Spokane Valley. The third victim has not been identified.
