Daniel Bunch, accused of having 3 TB of child porn, bonds out of jail

The Kennewick businessman arrested for allegedly having thousands of gigabytes worth of child pornography is out on bail.

Daniel Bunch’s bail was set at $200,000. He was released Wednesday night. Bunch was arrested back in July after a months-long investigation.

A Benton County Superior Court judge set the following conditions for Bunch’s release:

No contact with minors, including his own children
No Internet usage
All firearms must be surrendered to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office
Passport must be surrendered (if one has been issued)
No contact with witnesses, with the exception of his wife, provided he does not discuss the case. He may live with his father, but not discuss the case.
Bunch is required to wearing a GPS monitoring unit

These conditions were set on July 16, 2019.

Court documents say the 39-year-old had a three-terabyte hard drive full of child pornography. Investigators say he used his work computer at Bunch Finnigan Appliances to share the photos and images.

The family-owned business fired Bunch a few weeks after his arrest.
