Deer cause several crashes in Hanford area early Thursday

Benton County deputies were on the scene of several crashes involving deer early Thursday morning.

At around 4:50 a.m., scanner dispatchers indicated three vehicles had crashed because of two deers.

Those crashes all happened on Route 4 south, in the Hanford area. There were no reports of any injuries.

Deputies want to remind drivers that this area has a lot of deer and elk, and they can be most active in the morning before the heat. They ask that drivers slow down to remain safe.
