OTHELLO, Wash. — Two days after allegedly ditching a stolen car and fleeing from an Adams County deputy on foot, a juvenile suspect from Moses Lake was arrested on a plethora of charges.

According to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy spotted the suspect while patrolling near S 14th Ave & Cypress St. He learned that the vehicle being driven by the minor was reported stolen out of Moses Lake by using one of the department’s new Axon license plate readers.

Authorities say the deputy turned his vehicle around and pursued the suspect as it turned onto Cypress. The male suspect allegedly parked the car and took off on foot, successfully evading this deputy.

Following the chase, authorities did some research and learned the suspect, who was from Moses Lake, now lived in Othello. They obtained a search warrant for the car and found a loaded Glock handgun that was stolen out of Spokane inside.
