Driver cited after hitting school bus in Pasco, driving away
PASCO, Wash. — Pasco police caught up Tuesday with a teenage driver they say hit a school bus and left the scene.
The boy was in a white van and hit the rear right corner of the school bus near Road 84 and Livingston.
Police say the bus had about five kids on it and none of them were injured. The young driver had his brother in the car and was on their way to school. They were not hurt, either.
The driver left behind a piece of the van’s bumper and the license plate to the van, making him easy to track down.
Sgt. Scott Warren says the boy is a licensed driver. Police decided to cite him.
Sgt. Warren reminds drivers to stop and stay if they are ever involved in a crash. It’s the law.
