Driver crashes into Kennewick police motorcycle
KENNEWICK, Wash. — A Kennewick police officer’s motorcycle was hit by a car during a traffic stop on Columbia Center Boulevard Wednesday morning.
Police say a traffic officer pulled over a driver at the intersection of Columbia Center Boulevard and Seventh Avenue before 10:20 a.m.
As the officer was talking to the driver, another car came from behind and rammed his motorcycle, knocking it into the back of the pulled over car. All three vehicles were damaged, but no one was injured as a result of the crash.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash. The driver was cited for negligent driving.
