WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. — It’s not a sight you see everyday — the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile pulled over by police.

The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office posted a photo of the incident, saying the driver of the Wienermobile was given a verbal warning for not following the Move Over Law.

The law requires drivers to move over a lane when they see a vehicle with its emergency lights flashing. If a safe lane change is not possible, or the driver is traveling on a two-lane road, they are required to slow down until completely passed the stopped vehicle.

Staff at the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department said one of the most dangerous places for emergency responders and maintenance personnel is alongside of the road.
