Driver shot several times before rolling SUV in Toppenish
Authorities are investigating a rollover crash apparently caused by a shooting around 4 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reports a man in his 20s was shot several times before rolling his SUV on Highway 97 just north of Toppenish. His injuries don’t appear to be life-threatening, according to Sgt. William Boyer with the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim does not appear to be gang-affiliated. His name is not being released at this time.
Washington State Patrol is at the scene investigating.
