DUI suspect arrested in Kennewick

KENNEWICK, Wash. — The Kennewick Police Department arrested a 34-year-old man Tuesday night after slipping his handcuffs at a local hospital and attempting to run from police.

Police say Jacob Zorich, 34, was arrested for driving under the influence around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday.

While trying to obtain a blood sample at the hospital, officials say Zorich managed to get out of his handcuffs and ran out of the hospital.

The Kennewick Police Department re-arrested Zorich after a short chase, and took him into custody.

Zorich was booked into the Benton County Jail for DUI, resisting arrest, and was issued a ticket for speeding.
