PASCO,Wash. — Habitat for Humanity and Dutch Brothers Coffee are teaming up to give away a great home in Kennewick to a deserving army veteran.
Habitat for Humanity specializes in building new homes for families in need to give them a hand up.
Those involved say getting to hand over keys to a new home to those who need it most is an experience worth all the leg work.
“It’s amazing to see their faces, and to see the faces of the kids when they walk into their room for the first time and realize that is their room, that’s where their bed is going to go. It’s incredible, the smiles are so big,” Habitat for Humanity Executive Director and volunteer, Lisa Godwin said.
Habitat for Humanity has already helped over a hundred families relocate into new homes.
Friday April 14, Dutch Brothers will donate one dollar for every drink sold towards Habitat for Humanity’s ten thousand dollar goal to fund the framework of the families new house, and over 200 Dutch Brothers employees will also be volunteering in the construction of the house.
