Early morning fire starts on balcony of Solstice Senior Living at Kennewick

KENNEWICK, Wash. — Firefighters responded to a fire at Solstice Senior Living at Kennewick early Wednesday morning.

According to a fire department spokesperson, the fire started on a 3rd floor balcony around 3 a.m. Residents were asked to shelter-in-place.

The sprinkler system was able to help stop the spread, and the fire was contained fairly quickly. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire has not been released.
